Step into the world of burlesque with this introductory workshop. Very beginner friendly - you don't need any prior experience. We will learn a burlesque chair dance routine to 'Welcome to Burlesque' by Cher. (There is no tease or stripping in this workshop, you will learn styling, performance and a beautiful choreography.) We dance barefoot and wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in. Leggings and t shirt are fine. You will learn the basics of movement, poise, and performance in a fun, supportive environment designed to boost your confidence. Please bring a small hand fan with you as a prop (please let me know if you can't get hold of one) We learn the whole routine in 2 hours. (Non alcoholic) drinks and nibbles included! Time: 2.15pm - 4.15pm (if you haven't attended one of my classes or workshops before, please arrive 5 mins earlier) Where: Patcham Community Centre, Patcham BN1 8TA (ring the buzzer when you get to the front door and I'll come and let you in) Parking: There are free parking spots at the community centre and also on all the surrounding streets.
